macOS Setup Guide ​

Configuring your Mac to use our public DNS resolvers enhances security, privacy, and browsing speed. Follow these steps to manually set up DNS on macOS.

Changing DNS Settings on macOS ​

  1. Open System Settings (macOS Ventura and later) or System Preferences (earlier versions).
  2. Go to "Network".
  3. Select your active network connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
  4. Click "Details" (Ventura and later) or "Advanced" (earlier versions).
  5. Navigate to the "DNS" tab.
  6. Click the "+" button to add new DNS server addresses.
    • Primary DNS: 209.250.227.42
    • Secondary DNS: 64.176.190.82
  7. Click "OK" and then "Apply" to save the settings.

Verifying Your Configuration ​

Visit the UK DNS Project homepage to verify that your system is using the configured DNS.
