Google Chrome Setup Guide

Google Chrome supports Secure DNS using DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH), allowing you to protect your DNS queries from interception and tampering. By using the UK DNS Privacy Project, you can enhance your privacy and security.

Step 1: Open Chrome Settings

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Go to chrome://settings/security or:
    • Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
    • Navigate to Settings > Privacy and security > Security.

Step 2: Enable Secure DNS

  1. Scroll down to Advanced > Use secure DNS.
  2. Ensure the toggle is switched on.

Step 3: Configure a Custom DNS Provider

  1. Select With Custom.

  2. Enter the following DoH URL:

    https://resolver.dnsprivacy.org.uk/dns-query
    

Verifying Your Configuration

Visit the UK DNS Project homepage to verify that your system is using the configured DNS.
