Firefox Setup Guide ​
This guide will help you configure DNS over HTTPS (DoH) in Firefox to use the UK DNS Privacy Project's secure public resolvers, enhancing your privacy and security while browsing.
Step 1: Open Firefox Preferences ​
- Open Firefox on your computer.
- Click the ☰ menu (hamburger icon) in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Click on Privacy & Security in the left-hand menu.
- Scroll down to the DNS over HTTPS section.
Step 2: Configure a Custom DoH Resolver ​
- Under Enable DNS over HTTPS using, select Max Protection.
- Click the dropdown menu next to Choose provider.
- Select Custom.
- Enter the UK DNS Privacy Project’s DoH resolver URL:
https://resolver.dnsprivacy.org.uk/dns-query
Verifying Your Configuration ​
Visit the UK DNS Project homepage to verify that your system is using the configured DNS.
