Our public DNS resolvers provide a secure and private way to resolve domain names while protecting your browsing from tracking and censorship. This guide will help you configure your system to use our resolvers.

General Configuration Steps ​

Most operating systems and devices allow you to configure DNS settings manually. The basic steps are:

  1. Access Network Settings:
    • Open your system's network settings where you configure your internet connection.
  2. Find DNS Settings:
    • Locate the section where you can manually enter DNS server addresses.
  3. Enter Our IPv4 DNS Resolver Addresses:
    • Primary DNS: 209.250.227.42
    • Secondary DNS: 64.176.190.82
  4. Enter Our IPv6 DNS Resolver Addresses:
    • Primary DNS: 2001:19f0:7400:13c7:5400:05ff:fe40:d1ad
    • Secondary DNS: 2a05:f480:3400:24fd:5400:05ff:fe40:e60b
  5. Enter Our DoH or DoT Addresses:
    • DNS over HTTPS (DoH): https://resolver.dnsprivacy.org.uk/
    • DNS over TLS (DoT): tls://resolver.dnsprivacy.org.uk:853/
  6. Save and Apply Changes:
    • Confirm and save your settings.
